Pierce County Trails Day is an annual day for trail users to connect and celebrate our community trails in their cities and communities across Pierce County. Join us as we partner with ForeverGreen Trails to celebrate Pierce County Trails Day on the last Saturday in July.

Bresemann Forest
Join us for Pierce County Trails Day and explore Bresemann Forest with a variety of fun activities!
9:00-11:30 AM
- Kite Building, while supplies last
- Scavenger Hunt: Immerse yourself in nature with a self-guided scavenger hunt. This activity is designed to help you learn about the diverse plants and wildlife of Bresemann Forest while encouraging exploration and discovery.
9:30 AM & 10:30 AM
- Guided Walk: Get ready for an adventure with a guided walk led by our Natural Lands Steward. Tours depart at 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM, each lasting approximately 30 minutes over a mile of soft surface walking trails. Discover the beauty of the forest and learn about its unique ecosystem along the way.
10:30-11:00 AM
- For skateboarding enthusiasts, Alchemy Skateboarding is hosting a casual group cruise. The route starts at Bresemann Forest, crosses Military Road, and heads toward Spanaway Park before returning. The total distance is 1.75 miles. Please bring your own skateboard and wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear. This event is beginner-friendly, but participants should be comfortable pushing, turning, and stopping on their skateboards or longboards.
The event starts by the forest’s wrought iron gate entrance on the west side of the Sprinker Recreation Center’s parking lot, near Spire Rock. Parking is available at Sprinker Recreation Center as well.
