General Membership Meeting
Next Meeting – January 16, 2025
Monthly, 2nd Thursday. 11:30am-1:00pm at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club
The stakes are high for Washington’s small business community as we approach the 2025 Legislative Session. Join us for an enlightening discussion with Mark Harmsworth, Director of the Center for Small Business at the Washington Policy Center, as he uncovers what lawmakers have in store including:
- Facing a $13 billion state deficit. A revenue problem ~ or a spending problem? You decide.
- The continued fight against voter-approved natural gas initiatives.
- Proposed increases in the B&O tax for some bigger businesses through 2026 and then raise the tax for all businesses beginning in 2027.
- The paid family and medical leave (PFML) premium rate increase in 2025 to 0.92%.
These are just a few of the policies threatening the backbone of our economy. Mark will break down the issues and provide actionable insights.
Don’t miss this opportunity to protect the future of small business in Washington.
