Two Fun Run/Walk Options

  • October 14, 2023 – Run/Walk in person on the Nathan Memorial Chapman Trail
  • Run virtually anytime, anywhere!

Run for your lives at the Zombie Run 5K! Put on your best spooky gear and get ready to be chased by zombies along the trail! Enjoy a pre-race warm-up hosted by Jazzercise, take a photo at the photo booth, play lawn games, and enjoy free coffee and healthy snacks! 

All registered runners receive a keepsake medal. 

 

October 14, 2023 – Nathan Chapman Memorial Trail
9:30 AM

This fun run/walk is a 5K course, USATF certified, and chip timed. Results will be made available once you cross the finish line and will be posted on our website the week after the race. Dress up and enter the costume contest with a chance to win a prize.

The beautifully forested 5K course on the Nathan Chapman Memorial Trail is very flat and stroller friendly. Starting at Heritage Recreation Center, the course runs around the baseball fields then heads south and takes a large counterclockwise loop around South Hill Park and forested wetlands. The course then progresses back toward Heritage Recreation Center’s lower soccer fields, north along 94th Avenue, then west through the lower parking lot (next to Zeiger Elementary,) and ends in between fields 2 and 3 inside the sports complex.  Get ready with a pre-race warm-up hosted by Jazzercise beginning at 8:45 a.m.

  • Pre-Register online by date TBD or on the day of the race.

Check-In & Parking

Check-in begins at 8:30 AM with the drop-in Jazzercise warm-up 8:45-9:25 AM.

Virtual Run Option

Get into the Halloween spirit with the Zombie Run Virtual 5K. Put on your spooky gear and enjoy a run at your own pace and favorite place.

How to Compete:

  • Register for the virtual run. 
  • Run or Walk indoors or outdoors. You can also complete your challenge in multiple parts or all at once until you reach the 5K goal.
  • After registration, race packets and the 5K keepsake medal will be mailed  via USPS.
  • Share your achievement with your friends and tag us on Facebook @piercecountyparks #zombierun5K
