Lakewood History Museum to Present Critically Acclaimed “BENEATH HILL 60’, May 19, 2026 – Mark Your Calendar!

On Tuesday, May 19, the Lakewood History Museum will present a powerful, award winning film dedicated to the World War I Australian Army.  The film is based on a True Story and is titled “Beneath Hill 60”.  The story starts in Australia before moving you to Flanders Field and the famous HILL 60 near Ypres, Belgium. Like Ypres famous Menin Gate, Hill 60 still exists and should you visit this part of Belgium, you can walk in the footsteps of those who served there!  Film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Editing and Best Sound.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, Film shows 6:30 pm.  Light refreshments will be available.  Seating on a first come basis.  Admission is free.  Film is Rated R, runs 122 minutes.
