Dotty Jackl, LDO
OWNER / LICENSED DISPENSING OPTICIAN
Dotty began working in the optical field in 1993, spending her first ten years at a large ophthalmology practice. In 2004, she became owner and manager of Northwest Optical, a locally owned business since 1980.
In 2015, the Optician Association of Washington recognized Dotty with its highest honor: the Lloyd Sass Memorial award for Outstanding Optician of the Year, honoring her contribution to licensed opticianry in Washington.
She is nationally certified by the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners, and is a Licensed Dispensing Optician in Washington State. She is a longtime member of the Optician Association of Washington, Contact Lens Society of America, and Better Business Bureau.
Dotty is involved with her local Lions Club and other service organizations, helping supply eyeglasses to people in need. Away from the shop, she enjoys family time, hiking, cooking, and spending time with Daisy, her yellow Labrador.
