Councilmember Ryan Pearson was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2012.

Pearson is a licensed professional engineer with over a decade of experience in both the private and public sectors. He began his career as a civil engineering consultant in 2012 and joined Pierce County in 2018. In his role with the County, he has worked extensively on commercial, industrial, and residential subdivision projects, giving him hands-on experience with infrastructure planning, development regulations, and growth management.

Prior to his election to the Lakewood City Council, Pearson served on the Lakewood Planning Commission, where he focused on thoughtful land use decisions and balancing development with community character.

On the City Council, Ryan brings a practical, engineering-based approach to decision-making, with a focus on infrastructure, responsible growth, and protecting the natural environment that makes Lakewood unique.

Ryan is married to Alyssa, a proud lifelong Lakewood resident, and together they are raising their two children in the community they are proud to call home.
