NEW EMERGENCY GRANTS
The Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County is accepting applications for emergency grants for $5,000 each for businesses with up to 20 employees in Pierce County.

Grant money can be used to assist with a variety of expenses related to the impact from COVID-19. A pool of $490,000 is available only to businesses in Pierce County until funds are exhausted.

Applications went live 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 9 and will close on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 5PM PDT. To learn more and apply, visit www.edbTacomaPierce.org/edbVitalityGrant.

Coronavirus: Inslee announces rollback to gatherings allowed in phase 3

SEATTLE — Gov. Inslee on Thursday announced a rollback to the state’s “Safe Start” plan concerning gatherings for counties in phase 3.

Beginning Monday, gatherings in such counties will be limited to no more than 10 people. The previous limit for phase 3 was 50 people.

Inslee also said he was prohibiting all live entertainment, both indoor and outdoor. For now, Inlsee said spiritual services, weddings and funerals will not be affected by the change.

Gov. Inslee says businesses in Washington will not be allowed to serve customers who are not wearing a face covering as of Tuesday, July 7.
